43 Ways to Keep Cool

Filed under: summer — jrice @ 12:25 pm

Yo, 43 Folders. How about some advice?
See, I’m from Miami. I lived at least six years in Gainesville. I’ve lived in the desert. But man, it is hot.

And we stink. A few hours of running errands, getting a marriage license, and eating ice cream, and now, we smell. It’s humid. It’s hot. And I haven’t sweated this much since my five minute bike rides to the UF campus turned into five minutes of perspiration, followed by another 15 after I stopped.

What we need is 43 ways to not sweat, to not take two showers a day, and to not stink! Other than: drink beer, what’s a good life hack? I seem to have forgotten all the things I used to do when I lived in warmer climates. Oh wait. I remember. I sweated and stank.

  4. Yeah, even though I lived in Texas most of my life, I am near tears today. I can’t suck it up anymore. NO MORE! Now I know why there are more murders in the summertime.

  6. 1. Turn all faucets on. Sit in resultant puddle.
    2. Sneak into meat locker at local supermarket.
    3. Get job at ice factory.
    4. Move to Siberia.
    5. Fondly remember our past complaints about it being too cold.
