Dear Jeff Rice,

Last night I dreamed that a hamburger was eating my cat! It reminded me of you, because I bet you probably eat a lot of hamburgers. In my dream, the hamburger was called a "Rice Patty" and it was 30% less fatty than regular hamburger meat. A sign above the hamburger stand said, "A RICE PATTY IS LESS FATTY!" Then you made out with my cousin Cheryl.

Does this mean anything to you?

Hi Jeff,

I see that you saw my blog about you being in my dream, and I now see that you are moving over to Wayne, so it is time to do an intro. We have two Wayne grads here, Grusin spoke here in the spring, there is the whole McLuhan, Burroughs thing, and then there is Sirc and Ulmer--our lives are intertwined in ways that even Ulmer couldn't imagine.

Being out on the plains, however, my knowledge of hip-hop is pretty close to zero. I think Lyle Lovett has a lot to say about composition, and I know David Byrne does.
