Nice.
Seriously, all you have to do is write to them and ask, and they'll add you. That and sign a contract agreeing to say one nice thing per month about each of the regular contributors. Oh, and you have to send them a picture of the CT tattoo that you're required to get.
On the plus side, though, once you achieve Level 5, you get to start recruiting new members yourself, and that speeds your progress through the upper levels of membership. And really, the products that you have to sell are surprisingly useful. Sturdy, too.

Their policy on linking to academic blogs says, "We’re unlikely to link to you if you use your blog to propagate views that I and/or my fellow bloggers find downright revolting." Heh, revolting. I'm not saying that's it though.
