Jeff, I would like to do one more post here, if I may. It’s a matter of correcting the public record and apologizing. Because as you probably know now, from Jenny’s blog, there have been some misassumptions operating throughout these exchanges, and those misassumptions can be traced to anonymous poster who was posting sarcastically and mockingly under different pseudonyms on this blog and others without revealing their identity. And because you have a tendency to mock on occasion, I assumed that that person was you. But it turns out that I was wrong -- because that anonymous person has now admitted to their actions. They still have not revealed their identity -- and actually, I could not care at this stage -- but I find their actions to be cowardly. Apparently, that person was not courageous enough to participate in the debate -- even participating with a pseudonym would have been possible -- and instead chose to mockingly issue cheap shots as an anonymous identity. And I responded aggressively to that mocking, as I always do and always will when I feel that something is unjust and not right. Instead of choosing to participate in the debate -- again, even pseudonymously -- that person chose to mock in a hurtful manner. I am not going to guess at that person’s intentions -- but I know vicious mocking when I see it.
So, Jeff, if you would allow me to post this, I retract any assumptions that the vicious mocking was coming from you, and I apologize. I think that is the source of much of the confusion here, and has resulted in misunderstandings. I happen to believe that when one is posting anonymously or pseudonymously, one is still responsible for their words. I haven’t been using pseudonymity as cloak for responsiblity at all. There doesn’t need to be consequences for one to feel responsible.
However, this anonymous poster apparently doesn’t feel responsible for his/her words and the effects that they have had on this entire exchange. I can only guess that this person did not like what I had to say -- but instead of substantively responding to it, chose to mock it behind a pseudonym. Again, I now know that this person was not Jeff.
By the way, I really do have a bad headache now.

I have the right -- or should have the right to make this final observation without censorship. I should have the right, as a matter of common respect, for my qualifications and final observations to reach a readership who has followed this matter and who has formed opinions in the process. Contrary to the joke below -- which has the potential to be misconstrued -- this has been a serious matter and I think that it is obvious that I have responded seriously. So I should be allowed this one final observation. I also ask that you read qualifications that I have made throughout.
You remember William? Maybe he was correct after all. At least you should allow for the consideration of that possibility in an open forum manner. None of this is to be taken personally -- although I realize that it's inevitable that it will. That's a risk that I have taken -- and also taken by revealing to you by identity. That was a huge risk - so, in kind, please leave this post here. It will be the final one on this matter, I promise.

No longer bothered. Figured it out in retrospect.
Everything passes eventually off of the spectrum of importance. It's inevitable. Good philosophy to subscribe to -- at least I do. So, I agree that it's not important.

New posts push old ones off the main page. You can use the search feature to find old pages.
But you also don't have to post here either if you are so bothered by posts eventually making their way off the main page.

Anyway, comp mafia has taken care of the issue.
Is this a last-word competition or what? ;)
Hey, Jeff, do you remember a week or so ago when you said that this blog had become boring?
Well, now it can resume its mundanity.

Jeff, just to note, it's not fair to close a thread in the middle of writing a post in response to John's latest two. Nice favor that you did for him there.
